Please contribute treats and snacks to share with the group. The BLFA traditional gift ‘exchange’ is a crowd pleaser, and lots of laughs. President’s Message
There are three concerning things I can think of being an artist and getting something ready for presentation to the public...
“Is it good enough?” You’re the one that KNOWS it’s good enough.
“Is it really finished?” Many a work I created always seems to need that one more thing.

And the most troubling for many of us who are willing to part ways with our creations for compensation... “What should I charge?”
One thing is – don’t sell yourself short. You worked hard on that, there’s nothing else in the world like it, and sometimes a price that is up there to some is an indication of great value to others. Another is – think of keeping your original and sell prints inexpensively. It makes the original appear as a Holy Grail to just that right person.
And a big one I can think of is – check out what is of similar genre, style and presentation where you are selling... remember you’ll see a bottled water
for fifty cents at a grocery store and then when you’re at a sports stadium it’s six dollars! Six dollars for a water?
And yet there I am, forking it over...

We’d all like that stadium price for our efforts, but sometimes the grocery store has just what I need. And keep that frame of mind that all your items belong at the Super Bowl.
